Argo’s new artworks won two sculpture awards

Crawford’s Casting Prize,  Darling Park Sculpture Exhibition 2010

Again, Argo won an award at the Darling Park Sculpture Exhibition organized by the Sculptors Society! This new piece ‘Life Code I’ took Argo 6 months to finish. The Judge of the competition, Nick Vickers, Curator of Delmar Gallery, commented that if the artwork was 40 times bigger it would command an awesome presence in a public space.

Highly Commended Award, Hornsby Art Prize

‘Wondering II’ is a small but solid bronze sculpture. Its form and structure are more complicated than ‘Wondering I’ which was sold in 2008.  The Hornsby Art Prize is part of the Hornsby Shire Festival of the Arts at the Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre.  In this year’s competition, there were a total of 495 entries from artists across the Hornsby district and NSW.
